Our President hosted a live “ask us anything” webinar for every applicant. He reviewed helpful information numerous students ask. This was also a casual and direct conversation about the curriculum, the profession, financial aid, student-specific situations, and what makes AAMI different. This recording took place in July 2026.
What You’ll Learn at AAMI
The webinar covered AAMI’s 100-year legacy and our distinctive curriculum approach. Students and applicants asked about everything from weekly coursework demands to embalming and clinical training—and President Cymbor answered candidly. The conversation reinforced what makes our program unique: a commitment to preparing compassionate, skilled professionals ready for real-world funeral service.
Timeline & Employment Outcomes
One of the most popular questions: How long does it take to graduate? While a 12 – 18-month graduation path is possible (as outlined in the webinar), many students who work during their time in school graduate within 12–24 months. The good news? Approximately 90% of our graduates are employed post-graduation, with a median 2026 salary that reflects the value of this profession.
Financial Aid & Licensing Success
Money matters. Students should apply for financial aid six weeks before their semester start date. We also covered licensure testing and AAMI’s strong pass rates, giving you confidence in your investment.
Why Funeral Service?
In an age of automation, funeral service ranks among the top 10 AI-proof careers. It’s a profession rooted in human connection and helping families through loss. Post-graduation, we continue supporting you through licensure and beyond.
